HELP!!!

i'm not clever!! sad but true! is there anyone out there, who can send me very easy instructions on how to make a banner with photoshop CS2???? when i say easy, i mean, very easy LOL..i am trying to make a new banner for the blog in readiness for the competition, needless to say, i'm going slowly crazy(ier? lol)..if someone could be so kind to email me i'd be eternally grateful and you will be duly rewarded! THANKS ever so muchly..
